Innohealth Satellite Event

21/05/2024: InnoHealth Forum, as part of 2024 event that will be held in September in Larissa, is organizing a series of events across Greece. The first stop was in Larissa, centered on "Alzheimer's Disease & Maintaining Mental Health in the Digital Age!". In May, the series continued in Thessaloniki, focusing on "Health Data Management & Digital Medicine".

The well-known pharmaceutical knowledge base Galinos.gr was a key presence at the InnoHealth Satellite Event #2. Mr. George Nikolaidis, CEO of Ergobyte Informatics S.A., spoke about medication decision support, health data and interoperability.

He particularly noted:

"Whenever a machine replaces human thinking, one question automatically arises: Can I rely on the machine's recommendations? In our services’ case, the answer is: Yes. In Galinos.gr DSS tools, the official authorization documents of medicaments are converted by experts into rules. The execution of these rules uses Expert Systems techniques, allowing tracing back to the source of each result. At the same time, machine learning is utilized to draw experts' attention on potential improvements. Thus, the physician or pharmacist is provided with detailed documentation for each result, to evaluate it and make an informed decision."
