The most popular, comprehensive, up-to-date online reference for all matters regarding human pharmacology in Greece has been designed and developed since early 2010 and went live on 16th of March 2011.

Physicians, pharmacists, researchers, scientists and pharmaceutical industry executives find more than 70.000 entries of original content in Galinos.gr, including:

Prescription and over-the-counter medicines, food supplements
Indications, contraindications, adverse reactions per active substance
Pricing, packaging, marketing authorisations, classifications

Galen Medicine's novelty lies into its underlying data representation: international coding standards (ICD-10, ATC, SNOMED-CT, etc) are being leveraged to represent knowledge in a terse, deeply linked structure. The knowledge base is exploited for offering state-of-the-art medication decision support such as medication recommendation and drug-to-drug and drug-to-disease interaction checking.

More than 680.000 unique users visit Galinos.gr every month. In 2011, when the portal went online, the average monthly pageviews were 440.000.
