Short Description

The project aims at giving access to patients of all ages to their personal medical data anytime they visit a practitioner, health professional, health center, hospital, etc. Special provisions are considered to ensure privacy of data is respected at all levels through fragmentation, encryption and distribution to a peer-to-peer network of database servers.

Project Objectives

• Data follows patients and not the other way around
• Health card with secret PIN gives patient the choice of giving access to his data only when needed
• Records are kept once and are continuously updated throughout the lifetime of patient
• Health system may generate statistics out of anonymous medical data.

Expected Result

The project aims to deliver a software product that is installable anywhere contact of the health system with patients is enacted.
